Quality/Configuration Manager
Description
The resource will be responsible for developing a complete QA program according to ISO 9001:2015. to ensure that final products meet a company’s quality standards. The resource will also be responsible for developing the Configuration Management process to oversee the integrity and consistency of the system through its lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop or update company complaint and inspection procedures to ensure capture, investigation, and proper documentation
- Plan and oversee inspection and testing of products to verify conformance with specifications and deliverables;
- Investigate product complaints and reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements;
- Manage claims/RMA by customers;
- Define, implement, and integrate Configuration Management policies and procedures considering the rules already implemented into the configuration management database (PLM-WINDCHILL);
- Update when necessary, baseline configuration documents and data elements under configuration control to maintain baseline integrity and support rollback activities;
- Define and control the design baselines of subsystems developed by suppliers;
- Support engineering and manufacturing during assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering or related field;
- Good knowledge of the English language;
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
- Knowledge of Quality standards;
- Knowledge of Configuration Management process;
- Knowledge of testing best practices, version-control procedures, and defect management processes;
- Experience with hardware and software builds;
- Experience with PLM SW (Windchill preferred);
- Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, CQE, or CQA (preferred).
